SHEET Orders
Definition
A SHEET order produces flat-cut sheets at a specified width × length. The width is handled by the deckle optimizer; the length is handled by the cross-cutter. Deckle Plus calculates both the number of passes (based on length and reel length) and the cut-out waste between sheets.

Cut-out Waste
When cross-cutting a reel into sheets, a small strip of paper is lost at each cut. Deckle Plus estimates this based on the cross-cutter blade thickness (configurable per machine) and includes it in the total waste calculation for the run.
Sheet Count Derivation
The platform calculates how many reel passes are needed to produce the required sheet count. If the reel length is 5000 m and each sheet is 500 mm long, one reel pass produces 10,000 sheets. The optimizer uses this to set the pattern repetition count for SHEET orders in the run.
