SHEET Widths
Definition
A SHEET order width has two dimensions — a width and a height. Both are given to the optimizer, which decides which dimension runs across the deckle to minimize trim. Everything else works like a REEL width: paper type, GSM, target weight and variance.

Entering by Area
Sheet demand is often quoted in square metres rather than tons. When adding a SHEET width you can switch the weight field to area (m²); Deckle Plus converts it to a target weight using the selected GSM (MT = area × GSM ÷ 1,000,000). The converted weight still has to exceed 0.4 MT.
L / H Orientation
Because either dimension can face across the deckle, the optimizer evaluates a SHEET width both ways during a quick pre-pass and keeps whichever orientation gives the better plan. The accepted result records, per sheet width, which dimension (L or H) was cut across the deckle so the floor knows how to set up.
