THERMAL Orders
Definition
Thermal paper orders describe receipt and label rolls with specific core and outer diameter requirements. These are common in POS, banking, and logistics applications. The width optimization works identically to REEL; the core/OD spec is stored alongside the order and printed on delivery documents.

Mixed Queues
THERMAL orders can coexist with REEL and SHEET orders in the same production run. The optimizer treats the width of a THERMAL order identically to a REEL order; the distinction only appears at the delivery challan stage, where core/OD specs are printed alongside the standard reel details.
If you regularly run THERMAL alongside REEL orders, ensure your machine configuration accounts for the core diameter when setting the minimum trim. Narrow cores on wide thermal rolls can reduce the effective width available to adjacent REEL cuts.
