Modifying & Comparing

Available Edits in a Sandbox

Inside a sandbox, you can:

  • Add or remove orders from the pattern allocation
  • Adjust order quantities (increase or decrease)
  • Re-run the optimizer with the modified order set
  • Manually edit pattern widths using the Manual Pattern Builder
  • Change pattern repetition counts

You cannot change the machine assignment inside a sandbox. The machine and its constraints are inherited from the original run and are fixed.

Waste Comparison

The sandbox detail view shows a side-by-side comparison of total waste % between the sandbox and the original run. A green indicator means the sandbox is better (lower waste). A red indicator means it's worse. The comparison updates live as you make edits.

Re-optimising in Sandbox

After modifying the order set in a sandbox, you can click Re-Optimise to run the optimizer against the new set. This replaces the sandbox patterns with the new optimised plan. The original run's patterns are unaffected.
