Applying a Sandbox

Applying Back to a Run

On a run-linked sandbox, Create Production Run applies the sandbox's plan to its linked run — replacing that run's patterns, widths and allocations with the sandbox's. Admins and Planners can do this. It only works while the run is still Draft or Optimized.

Turning It Into a Run

On a standalone sandbox, the same button creates a new production run. Because the sandbox's widths aren't tied to orders, you're first asked to map each width to a customer and order so the produced weight is credited correctly. The new run lands in Draft.

Overrun Sign-off

If the sandbox contains an overrun pattern — one that deliberately crosses the available deckle to kill an otherwise-wasteful pattern — it shows an "Overrun — Needs Approval" flag. A Supervisor or Admin must Approve Overrun on that pattern before the run can start.

When It Locks

Once its linked run starts (goes In Progress), a sandbox is frozen and shown as locked. A sandbox that has been applied is marked Promoted. Delete sandboxes you no longer need; there's no fixed limit on how many a run can have.
