What is the Sandbox?

The Sandbox is an isolated copy of a production run where you can freely modify orders, patterns, and allocations without affecting the live run. It is the safest way to test alternative cutting strategies, accommodate last-minute order changes, or explore "what if" scenarios during a shift.

When to Use It

• A customer calls with a width change after the run has been confirmed
• You want to test whether adding a small extra order reduces waste without changing the committed plan
• You need to experiment with a different pattern structure before presenting it to management
• You want to re-optimise with updated blade constraints without discarding the current plan

Isolation Guarantee

Changes made in a Sandbox are completely isolated from the live run. The live run continues unaffected. You can create multiple sandboxes from the same run, run them independently, and discard any that don't improve on the original. Only a Promote action (Suite plan) can replace the live run, and it requires explicit confirmation.
