FIFO Allocation

Why FIFO?

First-In, First-Out allocation ensures that older stock is consumed before newer deliveries. In paper manufacturing this matters because paper properties (moisture content, flatness) change over time, and older reels may be at risk of degradation if left in storage too long.

Automatic Allocation

When you start a production run, Deckle Plus automatically allocates reels to the run using FIFO order within each paper type and GSM combination. The allocated reels are shown in the run detail. You can manually override the allocation if a specific reel is required (e.g. to use a partially consumed reel before a fresh one).

Allocation History

Every allocation event (auto or manual) is logged in the reel's history. You can view the complete consumption timeline for any reel: which runs used it, how much was consumed per run, and when it was fully consumed or returned to stock.
