Operator & Supervisor

Operator

Operators work from the dashboard checklist. The typical run:

1

Start the next run

The dashboard shows the active or up-next run. Start it when the machine is free (one run in progress per machine).
2

Work the patterns

Start a pattern to set the blades, complete it when its weight is through. Pause a pattern or the whole run if you have to.
3

Log waste and confirm reels

Record any off-plan waste with a reason; confirm the finished reel count when a pattern completes (if reel tracking is on).
4

Complete the run

When every pattern is done, mark the run Complete and record the actual figures.
5

Dispatch

Raise a delivery challan for the order when the goods leave.

Supervisor

Supervisors monitor rather than operate. They see every run, every waste event, every report, and the live dashboards — typically on a shared floor display. Their two write actions are starting a run and approving an overrun pattern (a plan that deliberately crosses the deckle to cut waste) so a run carrying one can proceed.
