Role Overview
The Four Roles
Deckle Plus ships with four roles that map to the typical structure of a paper mill's production team. Every user is assigned exactly one role.
- Admin: full access including machine configuration, paper type management, and user account management. Typically the production manager or IT administrator.
- Planner: order entry, optimization, and run creation. Cannot modify machine or paper type configuration. Typically the production planner or shift supervisor.
- Operator: floor execution, view assigned runs, log waste events, and close runs. Cannot create or modify orders or patterns.
- Supervisor: read-only access to all production data including runs, inventory, and analytics. Can approve promotions in the Sandbox flow (Suite plan).
