Order Entry

Planners are the primary users of the Order Management screen. Start each shift by reviewing the pending order queue, adding any new customer orders received (by phone, email, or ERP), and checking delivery dates to prioritise the day's production.

Triggering Optimization

Once the order queue reflects the shift's requirements, create a new run: select the machine, select the orders, and click Optimize. Review the ranked pattern sets and select the one that best balances waste % with machine setup convenience.

If multiple machines are available, try optimizing against each machine separately. Different deckle widths produce different pattern options. The lower-waste option isn't always on the largest machine.

Run Creation

After selecting a pattern set, confirm the run and it moves to PENDING in the operator queue. The run is now visible to floor operators. No further planner action is needed unless a Sandbox modification is required later in the shift.
